Your Task for Today

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking

Welcome to day two of 2009. If you have been working on your business plan for the year, you are probably right now thinking about what is it you want to do with this year.

There are two documents that you should pull out of the drawer and take a look at again. The first one is your Lifetime goals. Now, it is true if you were working from a business plan last year, your list of Lifetime Goals and Last years business plan would be on your clipboard and not in your desk drawer, but all too often by the 10th of January those goals, those resolutions are long forgotten.

Your task today is to look at those documents and check off everything that was in fact completed.

OK, so how did that make you feel? Did you stay on target for the year? Is it showing you clearly which areas in your business life you need to work on?

What! You don’t have either of these documents. Please my friends this year let’s do it right. Sit down and write you Lifetime goals. This is simply the list that begins, “Before I die I want to…” Since the movies the Bucket List and Last Holiday the Lifetime goals were enforced because people come to find out there is very little time left. What if you knew you had only six months left what would you do?

If you haven’t watched either of these two movies, go do it today at least the Bucket List. It will make you laugh and it will make you cry. Just remember none of us is promised tomorrow make good use of the day you have.

Ice Breakers
Canine Division

A friend of mine is a deputy with the sheriff’s
department canine division. One evening, the
deputy was dispatched to the scene of a possible
burglary, where he discovered the back door of
a building ajar. He let the dog out of his patrol car
and commanded it to enter and seek.

Jumping from the back seat, the dog headed for the
building. After lunging through the doorway, the dog
froze and backed out. My friend was puzzled until
he investigated further. Then he noticed the sign on
the building: “Veterinarian’s office.”
