Thought For The Day

“Give, and it will be given to you”.

I Have Been Thinking

There is so much information and misinformation on the Internet with regards to marketing, it almost makes your head swim. It’s no wonder that folks just coming onto the net go into information overload so quickly. How in the world can one separate the truth from half truths and downright lies?

I received an email yesterday morning with this paragraph included, “Louis Pasteur turned the world of medicine on its head. You probably recognize his name as the inventor of “Pasteurization,” but what most don’t know is that  he was the first to conclusively demonstrate the “germ theory” of disease and built the theoretical framework of the “vaccine.” However, in his day, Pasteur was laughed at and ridiculed by even the most “educated” scientists”  How did he succeed despite that opposition?

If you are a history buff as I have been all my life, you know that anything of any real purpose had to be implemented over the cries of  the superstitious or those who were very resistant to change.

I have to admit change is scarey. Change is inevitable. Change is necessary.

If you want something you have never had, then you have to do something you have never done. Or you have to change something you are doing so that you get a different effect. Knowing what to do differently can at times be a great big problem all by itself. It is more than just difficult to look at what you are doing and find the exact thing that needs to be changed. I know I have a difficult time looking at my own work to see the problems. It is always helpful to have another set of eye on what you are doing.

The other side of the coin is is persistence. No matter what you do run into the determination to see it through has got to be greater than the problems. Life is a problem! With every problem there is opportunity if you are willing to look past the problems and find  the opportunity.

Ice Breakers

Fairy Tale Taxes

The tax advisor had just read the story of
Cinderella to his four-year-old daughter for
the first time.

The little girl was fascinated by the story,
especially the part where the pumpkin turns
into a golden coach.

Suddenly she piped up, “Daddy, when the
pumpkin turned into a golden coach, would
that be classed as income or a long-term
investment?”

How efficient is the monthly marketing plan?

For a marketing plan to be efficient, it must zero in on the following things: webpage development, back links  web content, updates and technical support. Of course, also included are the standard SEO, competition analysis and keyword density. Know your competition and everything they are doing, then keep one step ahead.
