It Can Be Done

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking
This certainly is a week of mixed memories, but I am certainly glad that tomorrow things get back to normal around here. I love seeing my daughters and visiting with them, but all the running around makes it hard to get the every day things that have to be done – done on time.
I only work 2 – 2 1/2 hours in the morning including my conference times, but when family is here those are the prime hours they want as well. The solution this time was to get up an hour earlier and finish half of my daily work in that hour.
There are always solutions when one wants to look for them. There is always a way to get things accomplished with good planning, then putting the plans to work. Who was it that said, “the impossible just takes a little more time.”

Celery
After my husband asked me to help him shed some unwanted pounds, I stopped serving fattening TV snacks and substituted crisp celery.
While he was unenthusiastically munching on a stalk one night, a commercial caught his attention. As he watched longingly, a woman spread gooey chocolate frosting over a freshly baked cake. When it was over, my husband turned to me. “Did you ever notice,” he asked, “that they never advertise celery on TV?”

Tips and Techniques
Goal: To remember everyone’s birthday and anniversary with a special card and thank you
Purpose: I know how I like to be remembered on my birthday and how special it makes me feel, that doing so for my friends I would make them know how special they are to me.
Things to do:
1. Go through my database to ensure that I have birthdays for everyone included
2. For those birthday’s I am missing, get them
3. Make my birthday cards – use a weekend every 3 months to make them special.
4. Get them addressed and into a file by date
5. Mail them out 4 – 5 days before the birthday is due
6. Do the same with anniversaries and other special days.
Happy designing!
