Thought For Today
Keep the faculty of effort alive in you by a little gratuitous exercise every day. -William James
I Have Been Thinking:
As you can see, I am working on a new template for the Winning Way. It will probably be a few days before I get all the links working, but I certainly hope that the new format will make it easier to read, and in some ways easier to produce.
I certainly have been busy with plans for the New Year. This is going to be a great year. My daughter called me last week and told me her husband is losing his job as of the 23rd of January so a move is in the works. She doesn’t want to go until the school year is over. He is going ahead to find housing and to scope out the area. I have been watching the temperature from Denver (my home town) here in West Virginia (where I live now) and Englewood, FL and let me tell you there is no contest. No more snow. Beach ten minutes from the house. I will probably have to live with the kids again for a short while but hey, I can do that.
My Your First Year In Business site disappeared. I must have forgotten to renew the domain name – oops. Happens sometime so it is being completely made over. New domain name, new modules, updated eCourses and so much more. it will still be the first critical year, but with updated everything. It is still going to cost a tiny $49.95. In doing my research, I have found somewhat similar sites with courses in the $200.- $300 and above $500. price range.
I have a great new class for you beginning Monday January 4 at 8 o’clock pm When this class is released as a self study course it will cost no less than $149.95
The conference is 4 weeks each Monday through January.
Everyone on the planet can write goals, but not everyone accomplishes them. Every year people make resolutions on New Year’s to change something in their life and by the end of January most of them are forgotten.
Why don’t people achieve their goals? What are the barriers that keep you from having all of the things you want? Do you wonder why other people seem to get what they want and you don’t?
In this class, your will receive:
- Your own Think and Grow Rich Workbook
- A Self-analysis worksheet that will identify your success points and those areas that are holding you back from the success you most want to achieve.
- The complete Think and Grow Rich Course Worksheet. (Our eBook courses help you to get the most out of every book we use as a textbook.)
- Audio and video produced for the course
- Lifetime updates for the course
- Identify the 31 major causes of failure and how to eliminate them from your Life
- The six ghosts of fear
I first read this book way back in 1972 when I was first introduced to this book, believe me I was skeptical, but I wanted to believe. My softcover book that was given to me is falling apart, it is highlighted from cover to cover. It is a book that I review at least annually. I would have to say if it were not for this book, my life would not be a full as it has been.
On page 40 you will read this poem.
and life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.
For life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I have asked of life,
Life would have willingly paid.”
The workbook will help you get the most from this book and IF put the principles to work in your Life just think where you can be a year from now. Don’t put them to work in your life and next year you will be exactly where you are right now.
The Newsletter is not just changing its appearance, but it will focus more in organization, time management, and project management.

Opportunity is never lost
It goes To Those Ready to Accept It!

Ice Breakers
Smoke Detector
One Sunday morning when my son, David, was about 5, we were attending a church in our community.
It was common for the preacher to invite the children to the front of the church and have a small lesson before beginning the sermon. He would bring in an item they could find around the house and relate it to a teaching from the Bible.
This particular morning, the visual aid for his lesson was a smoke detector. He asked the children if anyone knew what it meant when an alarm sounded from the smoke detector.
My child immediately raised his hand and said, “It means Daddy’s cooking dinner.”
