It is almost too easy to find fault and errors in other people’s work or even to find the ugly websites. The important thing is that you look. Learn to recognize what is good in design and what works.

Remember, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”  it is so so true in design as well. Design is an art form.

If you feel you are artistically challenged not to worry there are dozens of things you can do to still have a very nicely put together web business.

Looking for the right template

There are hundreds of places on line to find templates for your business. When you go looking there are just a few things to look for.
1. Does the design properly represent your niche
2. Do you like the color combination
3. Is the template so popular that you see it everywhere?
4. Is the template made to work with your editor

While you are writing the content for your site is when you begin looking for the templates. If you want something truly unique then customization is the answer. Be prepared to pay for it or learn to do graphic design.

 Childbirth

A boy was assigned a paper on childbirth and asked his mother,  ”How was I born?”

“Well honey…” said the slightly prudish mother, “the stork
brought you to us.”

“Oh,” said the boy, “and how did you and daddy get born?”

“Oh, the stork brought us too.”

“Well how were grandpa and grandma born?” the boy persisted.

“Well darling, the stork brought them too!” said the mother,  by now starting to squirm a little.

Several days later, the boy handed in his paper to the teacher who read with confusion the opening sentence: “This report has been very difficult to write due to the fact that there hasn’t  been a natural childbirth in my family for three generations.”

Do a google search for free website templates. A whole world opens up to you. Next look for your favorite colors. Narrow down your search now to your niche.
