Thought For The Day
“Tell a person they are brave and you help them become so.”
Thomas Carlyle

I Have Been Thinking
How many hours a day do you sit and work at your computer? Are you keeping in the correct personal security as you do computer security? I hope more.
Personal ergonomics are so very important and especially as you get older. If you are young take heed now your body will thank you as years go by.
1. Get a good and comfortable chair. Purchase the best you can afford. Make sure it has good lumbar support for you. The chair should be adjustable so your feet are flat on the floor.
2. Your arms and wrists should be straight ahead neither pointing up or down. We do a lot of work with the mouse, Try not to have it higher than the keyboard and next to your right or left hand. If you rest your wrist on the kepboard use a gel rest.
3. Get up and move about 10 – 15 minutes out of every hour. Some stretching exercises can help prevent a lot of strain.
4. The monitor should be an arms length away from your eyes. If you wear bifocals, you might find it helpful to adjust the screen downward. Correct adjustment of the screen is so much easier on you than the adjustments on your neck.
5. Go for a walk. It is good to get away from the screen and keyboard. Go for a walk before or after lunch and again about 3 in the afternoon. It doesn’t have to be a long walk just get out and enjoy some sunshine.
6. Adjust the brightness of the screen. If your screen is too bright or too dark it will cause eye strain. Close your eyes when you are thinking, give them a rest from the screen.
I am sure there are probably more things you can and should do when working at home and spend hours and hours at the computer.

Understand
A triend of mine joined the Navy and soon after had
to attend a wedding. He asked an officer for a pass
and was told he had to be back by 7 p.m. Sunday.
“You don’t understand, sir,” my friend said. “I’m in
the wedding.”
“No, you don’t understand,” the officer replied.
“You’re in the Navy.”
Tip
Have you been having trouble upgrading your WordPress blog or getting plugin’s to work properly? If yes, it could be the theme. It is important to keep your blog updated so that you get the latest security patches, but many themes do not keep up with the updates to the script. Activate the default theme, then the upgrade can be done in a matter of seconds.
