Thought For The Day
“Kites rise highest against the wind, not with it.”
-Winston Churchill
I Have Been Thinking
I love using analogies and never was there a better analogy for streams of income better than watching the Mississippi river and how it grows. At the headwaters, it is actually a little stream that is fed by many creeks. As the river grows more rivers join. These rivers include Arkansas, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, the Red River and others. Each of these rivers have tributaries. The river continues from North to South contributing the water into the Gulf of Mexico. But, I am sure you all know that. When you are creating an income, the one thing you want to do is make your river grow by building tributaries and opening the dams.
We talked a little about exchange. You have a talent in there somewhere. You have many interests either that you enjoy very much. If you have interests that are also enjoyed by others, then there is no reason in the world that you cannot create the job you love. Building that business and making money simply mean taking that desire, establish your goals, get organized and take action.
The InternetNichelab was created to help our friends and associates find the niche in which they can get totally involved. I am basing the postulate on, “when you do the thing you love, you will never work another day in your life.” Having a passionate interest in a subject while it is not imperative, it does help. When the going gets rough loving what you do will help, but more important is your purpose for doing what you are doing.
What does the river do?
As the river grows and moves from North to South, it provides the water that is needed to grow the crops, provide water for the populations along the river and think about it, it has done a lot to shape the country in which it travels.
A purpose is much more than wanting to earn money. Why do you want to earn money? Many will tell me it is to buy things. Just like a little kid, I ask “why do you want those things?” I keep asking why until we can dig deep enough to find the real reason. I will say it again! Money is not the motivator. Things are not a motivator, although more people will work harder for things than they will for money. What do I mean? Many people will work harder for trips and winning something in a contest especially if the reward is something they would feel guilty if they spent the money for it.
The river makes an impact on the country and it’s peoples. Businesses and the people that work in that business can have a big impact on the people and lives they touch. The impact can be positive or negative again depending on the purpose and intention for which the business was created and how it functions.
I have a basic belief. It is just one of those things that I feel is one of the natural laws. If you do enough right things right, the money will come. If you concentrate on product quality and deliver it with sincerity you cannot help but be successful.
How do you open the dams?
Building a business is about building you. I mean that quite earnestly. The dams on the river are created by you. The dams are built because of ignorance, pride, fear and giving up too soon. Building a business even when you build the business based on your passion and your heart is in the right place, there is much to learn. If you have too much pride to ask for help or refuse to follow directions, then you continue to build the dams.
Building a business online or off means putting the processes in place then following them to the letter. If you build too fast you can be in just as much trouble as building too slow. It can be as real a challenge to sand bag the floods as it is to wait out the dry periods.

Ice Breakers
100% Chance
A man who has been very sick is visiting his doctor to get the
results of a battery of tests. “What are my chances of recovering,
Doc?” he asks.
“One hundred percent,” the doctor assures him.
“That’s a relief,” the patient says. “But how can you be so sure?”
“Well,” the doctor says, “statistics show that nine out of every 10
patients with your disease will die. Yours is the 10th case I’ve
treated. The others have all died. So you are bound to get well.”

Grandma Wisdom
The key to growth is organization and knowing the records to keep, why they should be kept and knowing exactly how the records are going to help you grow. Learning organization is not easy for many people. They just want to get in produce the product and sell it to others. While it is true that selling the product is that which creates income, it may not find it’s market if the processes are not established and followed. There is only one person that I cannot teach, that is the person that already thinks he knows it all.
