The Power of Silence

Good Morning!
I Have Been Thinking
Silence helps most people relax and meditate, so you may want a quiet, isolated area far from the ringing of the phone or the humming of the washing machine. Pleasing scents also help in that regard, so stocking up on aromatic candles isn’t such a bad idea either.
The monks you see on television making those monotonous sounds are actually performing their mantra. This, in simple terms, is a short creed, a simple sound which, for these practitioners, holds a mystic value.
You do not need to perform such; however, it would pay to note that focusing on repeated actions such as breathing, and humming help the practitioner enter a higher state of consciousness.

Parenting
Being a parent changes everything. But being a parent also changes with each baby. Here are some of the ways having a second and third child is different from having your first.
Your Clothes
1st baby: You begin wearing maternity clothes as soon as your OB/GYN confirms your pregnancy.
2nd baby: You wear your regular clothes for as long as possible.
3rd baby: Your maternity clothes ARE your regular clothes.
Preparing for the Birth
1st baby: You practice your breathing religiously.
2nd baby: You don’t bother practicing because you remember that last time, breathing didn’t do a thing.
3rd baby: You ask for an epidural in your 8th month.
The Layette
1st baby: You pre-wash your newborn’s clothes, color-coordinate them, and fold them neatly in the baby’s little bureau.
2nd baby: You check to make sure that the clothes are clean and discard only the ones with the darkest stains.
3rd baby: Boys can wear pink, can’t they?
Worries
1st baby: At the first sign of distress – a whimper, a frown-you pick up the baby.
2nd baby: You pick the baby up when her wails threaten to wake your firstborn.
3rd baby: You teach your 3-year-old how to rewind the mechanical swing.
Thought for Today:
“Some people think it’s holding on that makes one strong; sometimes it’s letting go.”

Tips and Techniques
Do you journal? Most people journal what is going on in their lives. They journal feelings. Allow yourself to journal to build up your imagination and exercise that portion of your mind in which ideas incubate and grow.
How did Edison or any other inventor come by their amazing feats? They began with a question, then allowed themselved to just think. There is more than one way to solve a problem, but it is the one that refuses to give up that will succeed.
What do you do when you want to create a product? Think, think, think of the problem let your mind and body relax then write down everything that comes to your mind. Now is not the time to think solutions, it is just a time to brainstorm.
Happy designing!
