Thought For The Day
“Sometimes when we are generous in small, barely detectable ways it can change someone else’s life forever.”
– Margaret Cho
I Have Been Thinking
What twelve words, would guarantee success? You would have to live by these twelve words day in and day out, but they would definitly guarantee success.
It is a declaration that would have to be made not just at the beginning or the end of each day, but every hour of the day. It is a very simple technique that mostl everyone does not follow. We do any number of things to avoid the obvious. Let me ask you, have you ever pretended to be busy? Do you ever practice procrastination? You know it is a practice and that practice can be habitual. How many things did you put off today? You know that every time you do that it becomes easier and easier to do the next time? I guess that is more than one question, but have I made your curious yet?
When you woke up this morning how did you feel? Were you ready to take on the day, or did you feel like covering your head and get just a few more minutes?
Technology is fun. I heard on the radio the other day that something like 30% of women check their facebook first thing in the morning even before going to the bathroom. I find that hard to believe, but whatever you hear on the radio about some study has got to be true, right? I know for a fact, most young people I know cannot go an hour without texting.
Sure technology is a wonderful thing and can be quite a servant when success is your goal, however technology can’t do it without you in the driver’s seat.
The twelve words, that if lived by will guarantee eventual success are:
“I must do the most productive thing possible at every given moment.” – Chris Donnell I read this in an article back in 1995. Do I? It is only twelve words, but they are twelve of the most important, yet most difficult words to live up to. What exactly do they mean in your corner of the world? What are the most productive things you have to do or get done?
Each day is precious and goes by in a flash. Each hour we put off what we know we should be doing because we want to do something else more, is that hour we surrender to not succeeding. Grab every minute. Do those things that are important to do.
I am going to dare to change those twelve words into an affirmation.
I will do the most productive thing possible at this given moment.

Hospital Sign
A hospital posted a notice in the nurses’ mess
saying:
“Remember, the first five minutes of a human
being’s life are the most dangerous.”
Underneath, a nurse had written:
“The last five are pretty risky, too.”
Tip
However you prioritize the things you must do in a day, Red, Green, Yellow, or 1, 2, 3 prioritize this day and focus on what is truly important and meaningful to you. Focus on the most productive of tasks first.
