You are probably not accostomed to designers extending themselves for personal counseling and help, but I am just that kind of person. I love teaching and talking with people around the world. You can also see my personal work at www.cwinsonline.com where I am beginning to display my portfolio.

I get a lot of e-mail these days and I do try to respond to it all. Let me know what you think of the newsletter both good and bad. If you have questions or if you just have a good design story to share, I/m all ears.

In the coming weeks or perhaps months I am going to concentrate on design using two different design tools. The first is notetab, an html editor and the second is Web Site Builder a WYSIWYG editor. For those of you that want a site of your own and want to do it yourself the easy way – stay tuned!.

The Internet as an industry seems to have exploded overnight. I have been on the scene since 1995 and have been teaching people how to use their computers for a lot longer than that. I guess I qualify as a dinasour in more ways than one!

Web design is not just about creating a single web page that looks pretty. Web pages link together in a way that should make sense to the reader. As a professional designer it’s our job to know how to integrate design, navigation and the various technologies available to build an effective web site.

I have worked alone for some time learning every aspect of design from HTML coding to programming to graphic design. It is important to understand enought about the entire process from start to finish even if you only do one part of it.
